Curtains Made Simple Welcomes the Latest Chic Collections from Clarke & Clarke

Four Exciting New Fabric Collections - Global Lux, Sonoma, Folia and British Country Linens

British designers Clarke & Clarke are the latest sought-after design house to feature their new collections on leading contemporary fabric retailer Curtains Made Simple’s popular portal. The latter provides made to measure curtains in addition to fabrics for Roman blinds, cushions and fabrics for a range of household soft furnishings.

Lancashire-based Clarke & Clarke’s latest collections have just gone live this week on Curtains Made Simple and feature a range of fabrics inspired by visits to some of the more mystical mysterious areas around the globe.

There is the rich North African-inspired Global Lux collection, for instance, with its ethnic leanings and intricate mix of metallic threads, the complicated and busy Indian and Moroccan patterns of the Sonoma fabric collection, the brightness and fun of the very light-hearted Folia fabric collection and the very British Country Linens fabric collection, evoking a feel of rural village life in England’s Home Counties and beyond.

Folia Fabric Collection

Folia - Floral Fun!

A spokesperson for Curtains Made Simple said: “These new collections from the very modern design house Clarke & Clarke have only just been released and we’re absolutely delighted to be one of the first online fabric suppliers given the opportunity to stock them.

“Clarke & Clarke are well known for their love of clear and elegant lines as well as an emphasis on practicality in terms of materials and production techniques. The new collections of linens and soft weaves are really quite diverse and we’re sure there’s something that will appeal to most tastes.”

The Global Lux collection uses the ikat technique and is modelled on the fascination and often complex patterns found on various animal furs and hides in Africa. The colours reflect the dusty browns and tranquil beiges of sand, dust and stone found in the bush and wild plains, such as ivory, wheat, pebble and mocha. The fabric itself is comprised of sophisticated weaves and embossed satins together with intricately embroidered weaves and textured plains.

Fans of colour and floral design will love the modern feel of Clarke & Clarke’s Folia collection with its large botanical flower designs, dramatic geometric shapes and bold stripes. Shades in this printed cotton fabric range from eye-catching and jazzy Spice through to the pretty pastel sorbet. The designs in this fun collection are big, colourful and sure to enliven and freshen up any room they find themselves a part of.

Weaves feature in the company’s Somona Collection – a collection of soft denims with appliqué techniques, stripes and checks alongside a light Paisley pattern and embroidery. Colours are the highly interchangeable and contrasting indigo, raspberry and charcoal.

Country Linens has a very comforting, warm, vintage feel with its simple and straight-forward - yet undeniably smart - lines and large checks. These range in shades from the neutral ivory, linen and charcoal to the far bolder damson, aqua and citrus. Despite having only been around for the past five years the design team at Clarke & Clarke, a family-run firm, have already made a name for themselves in the world of upmarket fabrics, both at home in the UK and internationally.
