How To Hang and Put Hooks Into Pinch Pleat Curtains - Download PDF Version
Your pinch pleat curtains will be supplied without their hooks attached and a packet curtain hooks. This will enable you to hang your curtains at the correct height.
The curtain hooks used for pinch pleat curtains are different from those used for pencil pleat curtains. The pinch pleat hook looks similar to the letter h, with the top part of the h being a sharpish point.
The important thing to remember is that what ever you do it is unlikely that you will damage your curtains.
Before starting to insert the curtain hooks make sure that you have as many curtain rings (if a pole) or gliders (if a track) as you have pinch pleats and if using curtain poles put one ring between the outer bracket and the decorative end finial.
It should be stated that although pinch pleat curtains can be hung from both track and poles that poles are more ideal. This is because with poles when the curtains are opened the curtains stack back better as the folds in the pinch pleat can be pushed to the back. With track this is not possible as the curtains usually cover the track itself and thus are forced forward. Thus they bulk up more and don’t hang as neatly.
