Why Choose to Supply Your Own Fabric?
Let Us Organise The Purchase of Your Fabric
We don't list all of the fabrics that we can supply. So please speak to us first as we may be able to take the hassle and stress out of arranging the purchase of the fabric and possibly save you some money, as well as time!
What Is a Pattern Repeat?
A pattern repeat refers to the distance before a fabric’s design starts again. For example, if a floral motif repeats every 40cm, that means the same pattern reappears every 40cm vertically down the fabric. Some fabrics also have a horizontal repeat, where the design repeats across the width as well as the drop.
Why Pattern Repeat Matters
The size of a fabric’s pattern repeat affects how the design will appear on your finished product and how much fabric is required to match the pattern correctly.
When we calculate your made-to-measure curtains or blinds, we always allow for the pattern repeat to ensure the design flows perfectly across all panels.
Straight and Half Drops
Some patterned fabrics have what’s known as a straight repeat, where the design lines up directly across the width of the fabric. Others have a half drop repeat, where each row of the pattern is staggered halfway down, creating a more natural, flowing look.
Half-drop patterns require slightly more fabric, but the result is a beautifully balanced design. If your fabric has a half-drop pattern repeat, speak to us about how much fabric is required.
Checking the Pattern Repeat
You’ll find the pattern repeat measurement listed on each fabric’s product page. This helps you understand how the pattern will appear and how it might influence your design choices. If you’re unsure how a pattern will look on a large area, we recommend ordering a fabric sample first.
This is a summary of our policies, the full terms can be found here: UK & Int Delivery Returns & Refunds.
In most situations, cut-length fabric will be delivered within 7 days or less and made-to-measure orders 2-4 weeks. Where this cannot be achieved, you will be informed by email.
Delivery within mainland UK is £9 for all orders except cut-length fabric, where it is free on orders over £90. Delivery charges to other countries can be found here.
Refunds are generally not possible, due to the majority of the goods we sell being made-to-order or cut-to-order items and thus not subject to the Distance Selling Regulations. However, where errors have been made due to incorrect measurements or specifications, we will try to find a satisfactory solution to the issue.
Cancellation of orders will result in a 100% refund if no work has started or the fabric has not been sent by the supplier. After this, refunds will be the value of the order less costs incurred up until this point.
